The rescue of Boon Thong
One of the highlights of 2013 came in the summer. We were absolutely honoured to be a part of the rescue of a beautiful old lady Boon Thong. She was living at a trekking camp in Pattaya, she spent her days chained on a very short chain and living in filthy conditions. Her every move controlled; a miserable life.  She had wounds on her body from poor care and hook induced injuries. Somsri's Journey
On 4th February Somsri made her long journey to start her new life at Boon Lotts Elephant Sanctuary, I had decided to travel to Thailand to be with her. Finding Somsri
We have recently returned from a sourcing and buying trip in Thailand. It was a very successful trip from a business point of view. We found so many beautiful new products that we would like to have in the coming year. However I think the highlight of this trip was finding Somsri. Her name means gentle lady and she certainly lives up to her name. When we found her she was very sick and hardly able to walk.
