Friends of the Asian Elephant (FAE) Hospital

FAE built the world's first elephant hospital in Lampang/Thailand, and an incredible 3,900 cases of sick and injured elephants have been treated since 1993.

Elephant Valley Project (EVP)

The Elephant Livelihood Initiative Environment (E.L.I.E) is a non government organisation (NGO) managing several different wild and captive elephant based programs. Elephant Valley Project is a based in Mondulkiri. Immerse yourself in the daily routine caring for their rescued elephants. Each visitor will spend their days observing the elephants in their natural habitat while also volunteering to maintain and develop the site as an elephant care facility.

And for something completely different from elephants;

Soi Dog Foundation, Phuket, Thailand

Soi Dog treats and sterilizes over 1000 dogs and cats each month. Many of these dogs and cats require life saving, emergency treatment. The primary role of a volunteer at the Soi Dog animal shelter in Phuket, Thailand is to socialise and walk the dogs and socialise with the cats and puppies.
